Most renovation firms start with a lookbook. We start with a hundred questions. The answers become a spatial brief, the brief becomes architecture, and only then does the styling begin. It is slower at the front — and dramatically faster, calmer and more precise on site.

Questions we hear at first meetings

How many projects does Apppro take on each year?

We limit the studio to fourteen signature commissions a year. That ceiling keeps our principal designer personally involved in every drawing set, site walk and handover — and it is the reason our finish quality stays consistent while others scale and dilute.

Do you handle both the design and the construction?

Yes. Apppro is a full design-and-build atelier. The same team that draws your space manages the carpentry, wet works, M&E and finishing on site, so nothing is lost between a designer's intent and a contractor's interpretation.

Is your pricing really fixed?

Once the design is signed off and the material schedule is confirmed, the contract value is locked. There are no variation orders unless you change the scope yourself — and any such change is priced and approved in writing before work continues.

What budgets do your commissions usually start from?

Condominium interiors typically begin around RM 180,000, landed homes from RM 450,000, and full architectural rebuilds are quoted individually. During the first consultation we will tell you honestly whether your budget and brief are a realistic pairing.

How long does a full design-and-build project take?

A condominium interior generally runs four to six months from signed design to handover. Landed homes run eight to fourteen months depending on structural scope and authority approvals. You receive a milestone programme before the contract is signed.

Where do you source your materials?

We buy stone directly from quarries in Italy and Turkey, timber and veneers from certified suppliers in Malaysia and Scandinavia, and hardware from European workshops. Every specification is documented in your material book with provenance noted.

Do you work outside the Klang Valley?

Most of our work sits in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, but we accept commissions in Penang, Johor and East Malaysia when the project scope justifies a dedicated site team. Travel and supervision costs are set out transparently in the proposal.
