This policy explains how Apppro Design Studio Sdn Bhd (Registration No. 202201032418 (1472936-T)), referred to below as "Apppro", "we" or "the studio", handles personal data in connection with the website apppro.my and our design and build services. We process personal data in accordance with the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010 ("PDPA").

1. What we collect

When you submit an enquiry through this website, we receive the details you choose to provide: your name, email address, telephone number, property type and the description of your project. If you engage the studio, we additionally collect information necessary to perform the commission — property addresses, floor plans, identity details required for authority submissions, and billing information.

Our web server keeps standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps) for security and troubleshooting. Cookies used on this site are described separately in our Cookie Policy.

2. Why we collect it

• To respond to enquiries and arrange consultations;
• To prepare proposals, contracts and design documentation;
• To carry out authority submissions and building-management approvals on your behalf;
• To invoice, account for and administer commissions;
• To meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations;
• To maintain the security of our website and systems.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making, we do not sell it, and we do not send marketing material unless you have expressly asked to receive it.

3. Who we share it with

Data is shared only where a commission requires it: with consulting engineers and specialist subcontractors working on your project, with local authorities and building management bodies for approvals, with our accountants and auditors, and with IT providers who host our systems. Each recipient receives only what their role requires and is bound by confidentiality obligations.

4. How long we keep it

Enquiry data that does not lead to a commission is deleted within twenty-four months. Project records are retained for seven years after practical completion, reflecting warranty periods and statutory limitation, after which they are securely destroyed.

5. Security

Personal data is stored on access-controlled systems within the studio. Paper documents containing personal data are kept in locked storage and shredded when no longer required. While no system is beyond risk, we apply safeguards proportionate to the sensitivity of the data we hold.

6. Your rights

Under the PDPA you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask for corrections, and withdraw consent to further processing (subject to legal and contractual limits). Write to [email protected] or to the address below and we will respond within twenty-one days.
